What you will do

Account Manager-Engineered Systems is responsible for the profitable growth of the Engineered Systems NBU sales across Sub-Saharan Africa.

At this position, you will directly report to the Branch Manager for Fire Suppression Products and serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters as well as build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.

How you will do it

As an Account Manager, you will identify prospects utilizing creative lead generation techniques. You will develop and expand existing and new business by maintaining strong relationships with multiple customer departments and key decision makers, consultants / designers / specifiers and end users.

You will apply principles, concepts, practices and standards of professional field to projects and assignments. You will implement business plans and initiatives in coordination with other business functions, follow up on relevant projects and leads, conduct relevant market analyses and achieve & exceed agreed sales targets.


  • Proven track record in Fire Protection / Suppression Product sales
  • Previous experience in commercial functions
  • Customer focused with ability to understand customer's needs and initiate actions to accommodate customer's requirements
  • High level of sensibility towards customers to influence and interact
  • Comfortable approach to people at all levels
  • Excellence commercial skills and a good knowledge of gaseous fire suppression systems
  • Use of ERP / Business Software (, Power BI)
  • Fluent verbal and written command of English languages
  • Good user knowledge of MS Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Availability to travel in the designated area
  • Preferred

  • Fire protection sales experience
  • Registered with South African Qualification & Certification Committee (SAQCC)
