Our client, a dynamic Financial Services Provider based in Sandton is seeking to employ a Retirement Client Consultant. Join a winning, dynamic team!

Retirement : Client Consultant

Business development :

Identify and pursue new business, cross and up-selling opportunities

Retirement Benefits Consulting :

ï · Identify high risk clients and escalate accordingly

ï · Face to face and telephonic resolution of queries

ï · Attend to billing queries

ï · Attend to ad hoc projects as required

ï · Keep written records of all client / service provider communication and interaction within the stipulated time periods

ï · Ensure that all client correspondence is signed off and saved in the appropriate repository

ï · Provide support to Consultants / Senior Consultants and Head

ï · Ensure Service Level Agreements are in place with clients and that these are renewed as and when required

ï · Perform certain office administration functions as and when required

ï · Compile and collate agendas for meetings

ï · Accurately capture all client queries (on-site, telephonic or email)

ï · Assist with putting together reports for consultants

ï · Drafting minutes from all client and service provider meetings

ï · Resolve any action Items following Client, Service Providers and Team meetings

ï · Checking quotes for admin / risk rebrokes and collate results for presentation purposes

ï · Prepare and present technical presentations for Clients (i.e. Induction, Ad hoc training, etc.)

Client Management :

ï · Build effective relationships with clients both internal and external and manage relationships / expectations on an ongoing basis

ï · Create client files and ensure that they are kept up to date

ï · Facilitate the relationship between client and respective retirement scheme

Compliance Management :

ï · Comply with all statutory and company regulations to protect clients and business interests

ï · Adhere to the Company’s operating procedures; contribute to successful audit score

People, learning and development :

ï · Actively monitor own performance and meet individual targets as set out in performance scorecard

ï · Acquire and maintain thorough level of product and regulatory knowledge as appropriate to the role

Competency Requirements of the Job

Required technical knowledge :

  • ï · Have a growing understanding of legislation and regulations that govern the Retirement environment. Computer literate;
  • intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    Required technical skills :

    ï · Strong client-relationship skills, including written and oral communication

    Essential qualifications :

    ï · Matric and must meet the Fit and Proper requirements as determined by the FSCA

    ï · Post graduate degree / diploma advantageous

    ï · FAIS (RE5), registered as a representative with the FSCA

    Required job related experience :

    ï · Consulting / Administration experience

    ï · Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Employee Benefits environment

    ï · Minimum one year consulting experience

    Required technical skills :

    ï · Strong client-relationship skills, including written and oral communication

    Essential qualifications :
