East Rand - Temp to permMust have experience with MDA systemReporting to : Portfolio ManagerThe bookkeeper will handle various accounting, finance, and billing details for retail and commercial real estate.

In this role, your responsibilities include overseeing accounts receivable and payable, overseeing the collection of rent payments, final account statements, audits, and more.

You also assist in collecting delinquent rent deposits and sending information to collection agencies. Other duties include utilizing accounting software, MDA and to submit accurate records.

Ultimately, the Bookkeepers responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

Competencies required for the role : Excellent communicationNumerical skills and Data entry skillsFlexibility and the ability to work on more than one task at a timeMeet deadlinesComputer literateProven bookkeeping experienceSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable / receivable principlesProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsHands-on experience with spreadsheets and the MDA softwareProficiency in English and in MS OfficeHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailBS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business AdministrationRelative Years of ExperienceAbility to work under pressureInterpersonal Skills : Self-starterTrustworthyHonestRole and responsibilities : Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting processVerify that transactions are recorded on MDA in the correct entities and properties, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledgerIncome statement, balance sheet and journalsBring the books to the trial balance stagePerform partial checks of the posting processEnter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statementsProcess accounts receivable / payablePrimary ObjectiveEnsuring effective recording of company financial accounts and records.

To also track, manage, create, and maintain financial data.Other assignmentsTo perform any reasonable assignment if and when requested to do so by management.

Working conditionsWork may require occasional weekend and / or evening work.
