At ECN, a Senior Systems Core Administrator is responsible for integration of complex and customized proprietary products and making these services fast and reliable at all times.
The position requires the combination of software integration networking and systems engineering expertise to create and manage reliable, automated, scalable and fault-tolerant system
Required Minimum Education :
Relevant degree or diploma (BTech, BSc, etc.)
Required Minimum Work Experience :
This position requires atleast 7 years’ experience in Linux and storage systems administration

KeyAreas of Responsibility :
The Systems Administrator will seek and destroy bugs and deficiencies in technology implementations, and propose long term resolutions for more intricate problems.
In addition he will support our developers in integration of their products, and the business operation team in fulfilling service to customers.
Whether through day-to-day optimizations or analysis of complex problems, he is the glue that keeps the environment running.
He will resolve critical environment outages, whether hardware or software in nature, and develop solutions or automations to prevent such problems from recurring.
In this role he will also debug and improve internal services, propose patches, maintain internal repository branches, and manage internal package and configuration distribution.
As with most IT groups the Core Systems Administrator will share off-hours duties for on-call coverage on a rotational basis.
As the core backbone of platform operations, the Core Systems Administrator will identify security weaknesses and propose solutions that hold stability and security in the forefront.
Perform security audits, system patching, and educate peers and internal / external customers on security practices and principles
Core ECN working hours must be adhered to..Additional after-hour or weekend work may be required as determined by changerequests and system availability.
Additionally, stand-by time may be assignedas required.
