Introduction

Performs the general accounting function up to trial balance, including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, ledgers and account reconciliations, and maintain the companies fixed assets register, including reconciliation and recording of acquisitions and disposals.

Responsible for monthly monitoring of and reporting on Debtors, Creditors and Inventory

Responsible for quarterly Cash reporting to Group, and in partnership with the Finance Manager and other internal stakeholders prepares the annual budget and quarterly estimates

Manages a finance team of 1 and has strong operational influence within the business

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processing of journal entries to General Ledger
  • Full accounting function up to trial balance and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
  • Budgets & Estimates
  • Monitoring of Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Inventory Analysis
  • Monthly Balance Sheet & Group Reporting
  • Monitor Fixed Assets :

  • Desired Experience & Qualification

    Minimum educational requirements & work experience :

  • B.Comm Accounting degree or equivalent
  • 5 years working experience in an accounting environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Has previously managed a team
  • Experience in FMCG advantageous
