The Role

Responsible for supporting the Production Planning and Dispatch Manager with the organisation and co-ordination of all CMT factories and related duties as outlined below.

Reports to :

Production Planning and Dispatch Manager

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for organising all C.M.T. factories including sourcing / locating new factories on an on-going basis as required

Monitor Health and Safety Regulations

Visit CMT factories to keep abreast of progress and maintain a relationship with management at these factories as required.

Set up appointments to discuss product, styling, availability, and cost. Always negotiate the best price

Responsible for booking all styles with factories and keeping accurate updated schedules

Arrange pre-production samples to be made at CMT'S

Receive contracts and give to Production Clerk

Arrange for cut work, trims, and all components to be delivered to various CMT’S

Assisting CMT’s with all queries. Escalate to relevant co-ordinators / merchandisers to be resolved.

Following up on outwork, bring in samples for approvals

Fabric Re-cons with Cutters

Running from CMT’s to Office for speedy solutions

Check and record the daily output from each factory daily

Resolve garment shortages at CMT’s

Escalating all out-of-line situations to Planning and Dispatch Manager

Matric

Relevant Diploma in Production Management would be advantageous

Driver’s License

Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in the CMT environment as a production controller

Key Competencies

Strong computer literacy skills

Must have basic math skills

Excellent telephonic and communication skills

Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Target orientated and able to work under pressure

Problem solving skills
