Minimum Requirements...

  • PhD in Economic Management Sciences in Education or anything related Commerce in Education
  • Ten years designing and development of curriculum course material experience
  • Five years Integration of ICT in teaching and learning
  • SACE registration
  • Other competency requirements :

  • Have a proven and comprehensive teaching and research experience in higher education
  • Have a proven record of successful supervision of Master’s and doctoral students
  • Be recognised in his or her scholarly field as an expert and leader, and preferably have NRF rating, or otherwise be in position to successfully apply for rating within two years
  • Knowledge of the writing of academic articles / books / chapters
  • Research skills, interpersonal skills / communication and computer literacy
  • Have a proven and comprehensive publication record especially over the last five years, including recognition in a citation index
  • Conducting of research and knowledge of research instruments, e.g. use of software such as SPSS. Atlas.ti etc
  • Have proven record of attending relevant national and international conferences
  • Demonstration of language proficiency in order to function optimally in the various multilingual environments of the NWU

  • Partake lecturing in under and postgraduate in any of the two fields : Accounting in Education, Economics in Education, Business Studies in Education and / or Economic Management Sciences in Education
  • Contribute to the development of curricula that will support the Programme Qualification Mix (PQM) of the Commerce in Education subject group and updating the curriculum requirements for various degrees within the university and faculty’s teaching and learning strategy
  • Quality assurance of teaching material by adhering to quality standards regarding the design, content and publishing requirements for NWU teaching and learning policies
  • Contribute to the developing of new under and post graduate level degrees, diplomas and certificates as well as short learning programs in Commerce in Education
  • Knowledge and competence of integrating ICT platforms in teaching and learning, evaluate and assist course material of colleagues to be improved
  • Supervision experience at Masters’ and Doctoral level (completed students
  • A proven research track record in accredited journals and conference proceedings
  • Voluntarily participate in curriculum related community engagement with the view of achieving the School’s objectives in relations to the Faculty’s and university’s overall mission and mission
  • Considerable experience and expertise to initiates research in the Commerce in Education discipline, field or subject thereby enhancing the development and development of the subject group as a discipline in the academic discipline.
