Quality Control

Our client in the Trail Track Engineering industry is urgently seeking a QC Inspectors to join their team in Isando, East Rand.

Salary is R 3 462.00 per week.

Specialising in :

  • Dimensional and visual inspection of all incoming raw materials, as laid down in the specific work instructions
  • The carrying out of all daily inspections of components as they are manufactured, as laid down in the specific work instructions.
  • These will include but not be restricted to :

  • Inspection of injection moulded components
  • Inspection of extruded HDPE strips
  • Tensile test of plastic components
  • Inspection of cropping stage
  • Block gauge inspection
  • Hardness testing
  • Clamping force
  • In process inspection of steel components to set standards
  • The QC Inspector shall be responsible for maintaining all the quality records or control charts required by the above procedures
  • If a process is producing products which are suspected or known to be outside of the company’s specifications, then the QC Inspector shall insist that the process is discontinued pending corrective action.
  • The QC Inspector shall ensure that following corrective action, components are to specification.
  • It shall be the QC Inspector’s responsibility to ensure that all gauges and measuring instruments used by him are in good condition and within their calibration period.
  • The QC Inspector will liaise with the SNR SHERQ Inspector, as well as the SHERQ Supervisor, at all times regarding the quality of the components and documentation.
  • The QC Inspector shall also be responsible for the administration of the quarantine areas and ensure that all procedures are adhered to.
  • The QC Inspector shall also apply reasonable controls that are requested by the SNR SHERQ Inspectors or the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Assist with shop floor quality training
  • Each employee in the organization is responsible and accountable for his / her own safety and that of their work colleagues, and to comply to all Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies, Procedures, Laws and by-
  • laws that the company subscribes to.

  • Each employee is responsible to identify hazards, assessing risks and implementing control measures to address the risk identified and report these to their supervisors for follow up.
  • Must have a Matric
  • Trade Tested (Preferably Mechanical)
  • Minimum 3 yrs. experience in Quality Control Department
  • Must be able to communicate, read and write in English
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to use measuring equipment and hand tools
  • Must be able to read drawings
  • Must be aware of Health and Safety Regulations
  • Must be reliable with figures
  • Must have knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001
