THE POSITION

SYSPRO is seeking to employ an Instructional Designer to join the Education team. The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing and reviewing instructional (education and training) material created for the regional offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop and review educational documentation to ensure that training is effectively rolled out to customers and partners

Create and review e-Learning content

Create training guide documentation

E-Learning management

Analyze learning aims and objectives and work with SMEs to design solutions

Storyboard, design and write scripts for lessons

Develop e-Learning solutions in Articulate Storyline and Rise 360

Adhere to development standards

Record audio

Review and perform quality checks on courses and material

Maintain project documentation and course folders during the project lifecycle

Script, design and create audio-visual feature demonstrations using Camtasia Studio

Design, maintain and manage all e-Learning documentation

Compilation of Training guides and tutorials

Design, create and adapt instructional material for products or based on training request

Create instructional material for print using authoring tools such XMetaL and Microsoft Word

Training guides and tutorials are created at a high standard, implemented and continuously updated

Personal Development

Maintain general SYSPRO product knowledge, be aware of new features and functionality and maintain job skill levels in line with technology updates

Ensure continuous self-development

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

BCom or BSc Computer Science or Information Systems or at least 3 years’ experience in Technical Writing

1 to 2 years’ experience as an Instructional Designer

SYSPRO experience would be beneficial

Excellent knowledge of MS Office

Articulate Storyline experience and knowledge

Organized

Detail oriented and efficient

Ability to manage tight deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently in a broad cultural spectrum

Presentation and communication skills
