Based in 3C Metal subsidiary in Cape Town, 3C Metal Belmet, your mission will be to :

Manage purchase and procurement for technical supply projects and identify supply business development opportunities

Identify or clarify the client requirements

Negotiate and obtain prices from relevant suppliers to get the best options from a price and delivery perspective

Elaborate the technical and commercial proposal

Manage the project from Purchase Orders issuing to delivery including documentation management and follow up and Imports / exports processing when needed

Participate to new supply projects prospection with existing and new clients and on supply portalsManage the relationship with suppliers

Manage the relationship with suppliers

Manage long term suppliers relationships to ensure the best service and delivery is guaranteed through purchasing agreements

Explore and source new Suppliers when needed as per Group policy & rules

Manage, maintain and develop a Supply Items List on the Company Inventory System

Coordinate and manage logistics requirements for supply projects

Manage the expediting of orders and deliveries including custom procedure and documents for import and exports in relationship with freight forwarders

Coordinate with the workshop to ensure the proper inspection and packing of materials for export

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, legal and regulatory company requirements

Profile

The ideal candidate would have :

South African citizenship or holding an authorization to work in South Africa

a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or in Supply Chain / Purchasing / Procurement

at least 5 years of purchase and procurement of technical material (Structural & piping material in all range of industrial material grade, valves, measurements, tools, spares, machinery & parts) and equipment for industry

ability to source suppliers, negotiate prices and develop purchase agreements

knowledge of Import and Export procedures, Incoterms, harmonized system code & customs duties and documentation

ability to maintain and develop relationships / partnerships with suppliers and clients

excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide range of people
