  • TRG 1538 *Salary : * Market related basic (neg) R10 000 per month + Petrol + Cell Phone reimbursement *Start Date : * ASAP A well-established and reputable Baker and FMCG supplier seeks a dynamic and experienced *Bakery Merchandising Sales Rep* to join their *Johannesburg* based business to promote and increase sales.

    This person must have the ability to liaise with customers and build sales through good relationships. Previous big company brand name instore merchandising and working experience is necessary. *Requirements : *

  • Diploma in Sales Management advantageous
  • A valid code 08 / EB drivers license
  • Experience in product merchandising essential
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a FMCG sales rep role *Requirements*
  • Solid Merchandising experience in Retail Supermarkets and Chain Store and be ready to hit the ground running.
  • Must have a good eye for product and understanding of meeting buyer requirements.
  • Good experience in the industry working and dealing with key SA retailers and buyers.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Comfortable with buying and presenting ranges.
  • Strong costing and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to drive sales and manage coordinators to manage production process and delivery.
  • Ability to handle pressure and problem solve.
  • Ideal candidate would be positive, energetic, and passionate about product and customer service. *Duties and Responsibilities*
  • Responsible for driving sales and meeting targets.
  • Managing and growing existing business and taking initiative with new business opportunities.
  • Building strong relationships with buyers, ensuring excellent service and interaction at all times.
  • Trend research, buying and presenting ranges to buyers.
  • Taking briefs from buyers and sending out costing enquiries.
  • Sourcing new developments, updates for existing lines, and new items for testing.
  • Executing development and test sample make up with suppliers.
  • Strategically placing orders with suppliers based on product, capability, price, capacity, delivery, etc.
  • Overseeing and signing off on all samples received from the factories.
  • Ensuring accurate and timeous communication with customers and suppliers on all matters relating to development, costing, approvals, and handling all serious issues or problems.
  • Reporting to Management on current orders, pricing, deliveries, sales feedback, etc.
  • Local travel for customer visits etc.
  • Selling and putting deals together
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations
  • Marketing and promoting of products
  • Carry out and manage promotions, taste testing events etc
  • To initiate new business opportunities
