Accounts Assistant Student Home / Adderley has an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced JuniorAccountant / Bookkeeper to join the finance team.
The main purpose of this role is to assist theSenior Accountant and to be responsible for the accounting and financial function ofStudent Home / Adderley.
Duties & Responsibilities- The main responsibilities are managing and maintaining the accounting records, including fullprocessing of all monthly transactions, suppliers, debtors and bank reconciliations in line withthe applicable reporting standards.
This includes ensuring that the accounting records areaccurate and fairly present the financial performance and position of the business.
The monthly reconciliations of all General ledger balances and immediate follow up andresolution of differences.- VAT record keeping and VAT return preparation.
Sending invoices to tenants.- Maintaining the debtors and suppliers age analysis, including the weekly and month-endpayment of creditors.
Preparation of the accounts to the trial balance stage.- Setting up of financial records and creating of database.- Managing revenues received and dispersed including accounts receivable, accounts payable,General Ledger reporting.
Gathering and sorting documents and related information.- Work closely with the Senior Accountant and to provide assistance and feedback from a financeperspective that will assist with the decision making.
Timeous identification of issues and immediate resolution.- management of general office administration, staff information and any other reasonablyidentified services to the business and / or as directed by the Senior Accountant.
Skills & Knowledge- Minimum 2 years working experience in the capacity of Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper and orFinancial Administrator.
Proficient with sage Evolution accounting software and advanced Excel.If you are interested please
