REMOTE Sales Representative

Johnson & Johnson Ethicon is recruiting for a Remote Sales Representative, located in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
Overall Purpose of this Job :
You will be driving business performance and market share and will be responsible that the different collaborators become promoters of our products and our company.
You will be part of the Ethicon Sales Team, focusing on further developing specific product groups to target accounts. You will work closely together with the other members of the Ethicon Sales Team (In-Field & Remote) and Portfolio Managers to ensure an efficient prioritisation and the highest impact of your work.
The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have :
Lead customer relationships and drive sales remotely for a territory of accounts, serving as the main point of contact for the assigned products
Support customers with all clinical and commercial questions (products, indications, conditions, supply chain)
Advise customers regarding usage of medical device portfolio, suggest product alternatives, provide online demonstrations and trainings if applicable, advise customers on the benefits and how to use online tools J&J Customer Connect Portal)
Gain customer insights via analytics on customer accounts (product portfolio, product usage, order frequency) to identify customer needs, optimization and sales opportunities
Address (incl. follow-up on) customer inquiries on products, indications, back orders, order status, price, etc.
Connect customers to the commercial and admin departments to support tendering, as needed
Supports getting customer’s complaints resolved by other relevant departments
Connect with sales managers and sales reps to ensure the best coordinated support to hybrid accounts + ad hoc support on pure remote accounts
Taking sales responsibility over a territory, comprising a mix of accounts with existing business, and those with potential for growth
Frequently contacting customers telephonically or through video conferencing channels to promote products, ensure adequate stock levels, negotiate, and close conversions
Developing balanced and long-term relationships with our customers.
Using clinical and technical product data to differentiate against competition
Achieving daily call rate KPI, along with doctor and hospital coverage KPI’s measured on a monthly and quarterly basis
Working in close cross-sector alignment with the field sales representative, customer services, consignment team, marketing, and supply chain to achieve and maintain product / account conversion
Providing ongoing post-sales product support to doctors and hospitals, utilising various digital channels
Understanding and supervising evolving competitor trends in the market
Applying sales data and field insights to focus time and effort on accounts and products that will make an impact
Proactively seek new revenue opportunities to ensure targets are met
Participating in internal educational / training programs (achieve a minimum of 90% on all training tests), sales meetings, and other commercial activities
Maintain and continuously improve a balanced compliance program HCC / HCBI / Anti-Corruption / Privacy / HR- / Work instruction- & Quality policies).

Relevant BA / BS degree required.
Experience and Skills :
Previous Medical Devices sales experience is a strong asset (3-5 years)
High degree of autonomy and an ambitious approach
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to convey ideas concisely and clearly over the phone or through digital channels
Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive) and video conferencing (Zoom, Teams) is crucial
Strong administration skills. Ability to plan, schedule and follow-up at various stages of the sales cycle to ensure balanced conversion
Strong teammate, taking initiative to assist their team, focusing and committing when needed
Understanding how to interpret sales data and understanding of customer targeting, account segmentation, and implementation of a marketing strategy
Desire to grow and learn, adapting to challenges that arise, and having a growth mindset when encountering difficulty
Solid understanding of the private / government sector for medical devices
