PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To monitor and maintain the MRF systems (Rental Suite and OnBase) on a daily basis and responsible for delivery and support of the MRF systems.

To manage the development of MRF automation initiatives across all systems including the appropriate programming support on Rental Suite.

MAJOR PERFORMANCE AREAS (Key Result Areas) 1. Ensuring the effective operation of Rental Suite and all other core operating systems 2.

Implementing changes and delivering new functionality as determined by Business across all MRF systems including liaison with the other system owners e.

g. On Base 3. Developing the systems and DR Plan 4. Oversee all technical aspects of the MRF computer environment 5. General IT support to MRF employees KEY DELIVERABLES / OUTPUTS -

Ensuring the effective operation of the MRF systems and ensuring resolution of ad hoc systems issues. Liaise with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that the issue / s are resolved -

Actively investigating systems performance and recommend and implement changes to improve systems performance and ensure ongoing stability of the systems.

  • Responsible for reporting all system failures as per the company IT reporting process - Assigning and resolving incidents related to the system / s through appropriate resources.
  • Supervise the resolution of all technical customer related queries received. - Ensure that all fixes and developments are fully tested before implementation.
  • Prepare bug reports on new or existing developments, source solutions and provide feedback to management. - Maintain a close working relationship with the OnBase System Owner to ensure effective and harmonious operation and linkage between the various systems in use within the MRF business.
  • Participating in business planning forums to discuss proposed new functionality and business priorities for the various systems.
  • As technical consultant ensure the business is kept up to date with progress of various projects. 1. Implementing changes and delivering new functionality -
  • Represent the business at the change control meetings to ensure the MBL system changes do not negatively affect the MRF systems.

  • ordinate any MRF systems related change control requirements at respective MBL IT change control committee. - Manage all technical projects assigned effectively and efficiently -

    Assist in identifying new functionality requirements and communicating these specifications to business and the appropriate developers.

    Creating the Business Requirement Document (BRD) for any new / enhanced MRF systems requirements. - Obtaining business signoff for implementation of new functionality -

    Manage the implementation of changes in order to ensure the effective roll out of system updates / new products to clients after full testing has been performed.

    2. Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan - Ensure that a Disaster Recovery Plan is drawn up, implemented and tested for the respective system.

  • Manager all Disaster Recovery Tests & ensure that systems are setup and ready - Ensure the MRF disaster recovery procedures are up to date and communicated to the all team members.
  • 3. Report and Monitor - Ensure that appropriate monitoring tools have been implemented and that support processes are executed to monitor and report on system performance -

    Reporting to business on the overall availability and stability of the infrastructure. 4. Technical Assistance - Support MRF staff with any technical queries that may arise.

    5. General - Ensuring compliance to all MBL policies and procedures and IT Governance requirements of MBL. This will include general controls, information security needs and any cyber related controls.

  • Interface with all levels of management regarding queries and concerns about service delivery - Manage the automated MRF monthly client billing process and ensure it works effectively.
  • Review current technical procedures and implement changes where required. - Extract reports and discuss reports from each system, as required by the management team -
  • Enhance IT technical knowledge across other areas of MRF and MBL IT systems - Proactively interaction with other departments to ensure timeous resolution of all issues.

  • Any other duties required from time to time. OTHER SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / REQUIREMENTS 1. Own means of transport 2. Required to work overtime, from time to time 3.
  • Required to be on call / standby 4. Position or job function requires honesty in the handling of cash or finances due to the nature of the business.

    PARAMETERS OF THE JOB Compliance with Company Policies and Procedures Compliance with regulatory and departmental policies and procedures (specifically IT).

    KEY COMPETENCIES : (Skills, knowledge and personal attributes) Sound understanding of IT departmental procedures, including technical standards and process manuals.

    Well developed people leadership and management skill in the IT environment Tolerance for stress and pressurized environment.

    Ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to handle multiple assignments. Sound judgement & problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills Good understanding of the various systems and their delivery capabilities Customer service focus.

    Ability to facilitate change. Sound knowledge of Systems relating to the business units supported. Working knowledge of SQL databases, Working knowledge of Oracle Report writing advantageous Required to work independently vital Good time management skills MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Experience : Tertiary qualification in IT preferred, else 6 years relevant experience.

    4 years of experience in developing C# OR VB.Net in WinForms or WPF or Web / WCF services, XML / JSON skills. Integration experience advantageous.

    Database skills to be able to interface with MSSQL databases, write queries, design relational schema. At least 4-6 years experience in .

    Net. OOP design and implementation experience advantageous Knowledge of Enterprise Business Services and finance advantageous but not essential.
