PLEASE NOTE : this is a 12 month fixed-term contract Position Description : The Elanco Learning and Development Specialist BeNeNoSASSA is primarily responsible for the maintenance, management and reporting of the Elanco training data in the Elanco Learning Management System (Success Factors).

The person will facilitate and partner with all functions / departments in the definition of role and task-based training curricula, support the effort to provide electronic learning resources, maintain business processes required for creating and maintaining learning records, serve as Elanco’s system expert (Power User) for Success Factors and the learning request tool on theSpot.

Major responsibilities fall within three areas : system expertise, efficient training assignment and processing as well as communication.

Functions, Duties, Tasks : System Expertise

  • Act as system expert and first point of contact for Success Factors and the learning request tool
  • Continually attend training and forums held on the learning management system
  • Look for ways to better utilize and augment the learning system capabilities
  • Troubleshoot, answer questions, solve problems and train (new) users in the use of Success Factors and the learning request tool
  • Track trends in curricula structure, new system capabilities, and changing requirements in order to recommend and implement improvements
  • Have a thorough and current understanding of the logic and rules performed by the systems, processes and organizations that constitute the Elanco Learning Management system
  • Act as super user in the SOP Management system named Veeva QDocs.
  • Monitor SOPs and ensure owners provide timely updates and approvals Efficient Training Assignment and Processing

  • Create assignment rules based on Workday information that will automate the assignment of curricula
  • Work with individuals, supervisors and departmental training coordinators to define curricula based on roles / job functions / responsibilities
  • Maintain curricula and individual records for assigned business units
  • Consult with stakeholders who identify training needs that impact multiple business units, to create a plan for assigning the training through existing or new curricula to the appropriate audience
  • Schedule and provide reports on training assignments and compliance to managers and compliance organizations Communication
  • Provide information and / or reports from the learning management system and help end users run reports
  • Answer and influence compliance related questions and needs
  • Educate new personnel on learning system and training matrices if needed
  • Communicate system information / issues throughout Elanco, providing timely information to managers and end users as issues and solutions occur
  • Provide audit support and compliance information for internal and external reviews and audits
  • Be the first point of contact, and act on requests from outside Elanco, for example : training reports, new assignments, curricula changes, and information Minimum Qualification (education, experience and / or training, required certifications) :
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in business partnering
  • Experienced using learning, HR and communication systems
  • Good general IT skills (e.g.
  • xls, ppt)
