Port Elizabeth - One of our clients are looking for an accountant to join their team. The individual will be looking after a portfolio of clients allocated to them and need to be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be a team player.

Duties : Monthly processing :

  • Responsible for books up to trial balance on Pastel Partner
  • Accurate monthly processing of all financial information
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Capturing supplier invoices (where applicable)
  • Ensuring all supplier TAX invoices meet the specific requirements
  • Debtors invoicing (where applicable)
  • VAT & Turnover reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly management reports for clients
  • Submission of VAT201 returns on e-filing and ensure that payment is made Payroll :
  • Weekly wages and or monthly salaries processed on Pastel Payroll as per client requirements
  • Work out December bonus calculations
  • Keeping control of leave due and taken
  • Submission of EMP201 returns on e-filing and ensure that payment is made
  • Register new employees for UIF
  • Submission of EMP501 on E syfile
  • Submission of Workmans Compensation returns Annual :
  • Drafting of Annual Financial Statements for Companies, Close Corporations and Sole Proprietors
  • Drafting of Annual Financial Statements and Admin Accounts for Inter Vivos Trusts and Testamentary Trusts
  • Experience in the calculation and e-filing of basic tax computations would be advantageous. Requirements :
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant accounting qualification
  • SAIPA or SAICA articles compulsory
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Pastel Partner and Pastel Payroll is essential (Caseware experience advantageous) Availability :
