operatives seeks to employ a Post Investment Officer (PIO) in the Post Investment and Workout Division. sefa is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and is an entity under the Executive Authority of the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD).

JOB TITLE : Post Investment OfficerREPORTING LINE : Head-Workout and Restructuring LOCATION : Head Office (x2)? : East London (x1)?

Kimberly (x1) Reporting to the Head : Workout and Restructuring the successful candidate will conduct post investment due diligence and monitoring of all investments in the Direct Lending portfolio.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREASConduct due diligence on applications from investees for further funding and obtain approval from the relevant committees as per the Delegation of Authority.

Provide and facilitate technical assistance and mentorship to all clients in the portfolio.Turnaround distressed businesses that have good potential to succeed.

Conduct effective portfolio management to reduce the portfolio risk for sefa.Maintain CRM (customer relationship management) with all existing clients.

Regular reviews of account, analysis of management accounts and annual financial statements.Timeous follow up on the application of funds.

Effective management of the allocated portfolio including the identification of the or early warning triggers and the implementation of interventions.

The management of overdue accounts and collections.Structuring solutions for the rehabilitation of arrear accounts.Drive the Departmental strategic activities as identified.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEA minimum qualification in B. Commerce degree with specialisation in Accounting and / or Business Finance is required.

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a deal making / investment environment.KEY COMPETENCIES Sound working knowledge of key commercial statues and regulations (Companies Act, Taxation, Corporate Law, Insolvency Act).

Good understanding of the investment processPC literacy and competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Understanding of sefa's mandate, investment and post investment guidelines.

Should possess good analytical, financial and modelling skills and be able to apply sefa's financial and post investment methodologies.

Understanding of the various Direct Lending investment instruments and deal structures and to apply them to a diversified investments portfolio.
