OVERALL PURPOSE

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit Finance team working in a fast-paced fintech environment. We're looking for a detail-oriented finance whizz who takes pride in their work to join us.

The position will report to the Financial Controller and Finance Manager, and will play an important role in the overall record keeping of our customer transactions, Loan Management System (LMS) and disbursements to customers.

The successful candidate will have primary day-to-day responsibility for maintaining, recording, reporting and checking controls for the company's transactions with customers and suppliers.

Not only will you play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and controls for LMS, but you will be accountable for the accuracy of customer transactions, the entire LMS from receipts from different channels to disbursements and recording of client arrears.

Core responsibilities will include :

  • Ensuring timeous and accurate recording of all LMS transactions
  • Maintaining and updating the LMS
  • Reconciling and checking the daily disbursement system
  • Loading manual disbursements (including refunds) to our customers when required
  • Managing automated disbursements to customers (ensuring checks are in place)
  • Running and producing reconciliation reports and checks (debit orders, receipts, customer transactions)
  • Xero bank reconciliation
  • Processing of supplier bills in Dext
  • Assisting with preparation of debt funder templates
  • Continuously looking at ways to automate items and processes
  • Team support as required

  • THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting (BComm / equivalent)
  • Completed audit articles (desirable but not required)
  • 2 years' commercial experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to :
  • Working within a fast paced financial services environment
  • Performing detailed reconciliations across numerous balance sheet / income statement accounts / different systems or reports on a daily / weekly basis
  • Utilising an in-house platform as part of daily activities
  • Xero bank reconciliations and Dext / equivalent
  • Loading payments
  • Good working knowledge of MS office, Google Suite and other IT packages
  • Outstanding reconciliation skills
