As a SE (Solution Engineer) you will work alongside pre-sales and services to discover a customer’s platform and architecture needs and requirements.
To be able to present the solution plan back to decision makers, illustrating value and benefits via an engaging story. This should equate to driving sales and ROI for customers.
A successful solutions engineer is able to understand thoroughly the software and value chain you are working with - including design, process and implementation.
You should be adept at documenting the architecture solutions in precise detail, while also being able to summarize it in a brief presentation.
Responsible for being a brand and product ambassador in your area of specialisation and focus; being a thought leader and collaborating with the marketing team on these activities.
A solution engineer's success is being able to build rapport with clients, from C-level executives and managers to the support staff, all of whom will often need to buy in to your recommendations before these recommendations can be implemented.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Requires a Degree in computer science or software engineering
Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing business solutions around multi-tier architectures : load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking
Experience in a cloud computing environment mainly Azure and Kubernetes
Familiarity with deployment techniques (and tools) in a distributed environment
ERP experience is advantageous
Provide technical leadership in the delivery of projects small to large for on Premise and Cloud
Drive and perform products / new technologies / solutions proof of concept and evaluation
Identify, assist and lead partners with technical, architectures and platform decisions
Support sales in the sales cycle and delivering ROI for the customer
Support strategic and key accounts in driving customer intimacy and reducing customer churn
Identify and demonstrate the fit of the proposed SYSPRO architecture solution and how it addresses identified customer challenges and pain points
