A well established Commercial Bank in Sandton is looking for an experienced Dealmaker : Structured Lending to acquire new business in terms of assets, liabilities, and non-interest income through the Bank’s Equity and Leveraged Finance offering.
Identify new product solutions and the markets & industries that require focus, to ensure profitability and growth. KEY DELIVERABLES : Deal origination Understand industry, identify opportunities and proactively look for new business through relationship with Private Equity houses, Corporate Financiers, Business brokers, Lawyers, Accountants and general network of business people.
Interact at senior levels within the client organisations MD or CEO level with involvement of Financial Director, owners of the business or those running the business.
Transaction structuring Structure deals and negotiate rates in liaison with Credit, Legal,& Product houses Develop and obtain sign off on full credit proposal.
Develop and collate input to paper for Credit Committee demonstrating appetite, feasibility and return. Ensure compliance with all conditions of sanction and service level agreement with Credit Building understanding of requirements of different businesses to influence strategy Maintain sound understanding of clients’ business and build long term relationships Ensure the achievement of the Bank’s business objectives in terms of a high level of customer service satisfaction Conduct extensive research to stay close to markets in terms of where business growth is coming from, e.
g. financial press regarding financial analyst reports. Process improvement On- going review of transaction process and timeline management.
