Job Description

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

  • Skills in problem solving; including the ability to identify and appropriately evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high level accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to work hours outside of the normal Mon Sat 08h00 17h00 Weekend work will be considered as normal working hours
  • Understands the Client corporate culture and vision, and effectively represents the client and its products to customers and prospects
  • Knows the product features and benefits and communicates the value proposition to provide a customer solution and gain commitment to buy
  • Is able to effectively lead a sales team in an allocated area.
  • Ability to manage sales targets and redirect own performance within 24 hours where required
  • An understanding of how to report back on Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Excellent understanding of telecommunications / internet / fibre (negotiable as long as has sales experience)

  • Ability to act independently on routine assignments or projects.
  • Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
  • Customer Knowledge and Skills SKILLS :

  • Uses active listening, observation and questioning to qualify needs and wants to identify customer based solutions to win the sale
  • Has the ability to prospect and identify new opportunities, gain appointments with key decision makers, and win commitments for sales.
  • Qualifies customer questions, effectively handles objections, and manages negotiation leading to commitment and asks for the close
  • Acts in an entrepreneurial manner developing their business by seeking opportunities to expand sales while understanding the complex global business market understands the pricing structure
  • Ensure customers understand the value proposition, features, benefits, competitive advantages and applications of the product.
  • Handle objections, gain commitment to buy.
  • Qualifications

    Position requires a Matric HG with a minimum of 2 years related field sales management in technical support / sales experience.

    Tertiary qualification (degree / diploma) Business Commerce / Business Administration or Marketing would be advantageous

    Additional Information

    VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must have own reliable vehicle
  • Vehicle less than 5 years’ old
  • Current Road worthy certificate
  • Current tyre certificate (minimum 10,000 km’s tread)
  • Proof of business insurance (with 30-day car hire option)
  • Date & mileage of last service
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Bluetooth device required
  • Must have own vehicle that meets Vodacom’s health and safety requirements.
  • Must have access to an alternative vehicle in the event that current vehicle is being repaired or serviced.
