Responsibilities

  • Venue hire and catering arrangements
  • Travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Design and develop training programs (accredited or in-house)
  • Oversee the design, development, or acquisition of quality learning material
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
  • Sourcing, co-ordination, and communication with Facilitators, Assessors, and Moderators
  • Business development and provide necessary information about training services
  • Responsible for the completion and submission of tenders and RFQs.
  • Update and extension of accreditations with all the relevant SETAs
  • Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
  • Good understanding of SETA qualifications, unit standards, and skills program codes
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
  • Oversee the printing of training material
  • Gather reports from Facilitators, and feedback from trainees after each educational session
  • Maintain relationships with public and private sector clients
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Research and recommend new training methods
  • Oversee the upload of learners or SETA databases up to the issuance of certificates of competence and statements of results.
  • General skills development and learner administration and coordination (if not specified above).
  • Requirements

  • Possess accredited Facilitator, Assessor, and / or a Moderator through ETDP SETA
  • Skill Development Facilitator is an added advantage though not mandatory.
  • Proven work experience as a Training Project Co-ordinator, Training Co-ordinator or Facilitator or similar role
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training programs or projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of SETA-based Skill Development environment.
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, evaluate and report)
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to sell or promote activities in the training business.
  • Learner Administration proficiency
