Job Description :

Leading Payments Company requires bright vibrant Head of Branches to join their dynamic team.

Main job function

The main purpose of the role is to oversee and ensure the effective functioning of the branches.

The Head of Branches reports directly to the COO. This position is responsible for ensuring that all company branches based in South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland are functioning optimally and in accordance with regulations.

The various Branch Managers report to this position. Internal Liaison takes place with all support staff all branch staff.

External liaison takes place with all 3rd party suppliers.

Qualifications :

Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)

Relevant degree / diploma (Desirable)

Experience :

5 years’ experience in the forex environment (Essential)

2 years’ experience as a Branch Manager or in Management capacity overseeing a minimum of 15 senior level staff (Essential)

Management / supervisory experience (Essential)

Knowledge of foreign exchange

Knowledge of exchange control regulations

Knowledge of FICA regulations

Knowledge of money laundering

Knowledge of Reserve Bank regulations

Knowledge of Branch management

Knowledge of HR principles

Duties and responsibilities (include but is not limited to) :

To respond to staff queries from branches timeously to ensure the effective running of the branches

To conduct monthly and quarterly inspections on all branches to ensure compliance to all policies and procedures

To drive new business and strategic market growth

Identify and implement new revenue streams and value-added services

Generate Sales and Marketing initiatives outside stores to generate footfall into stores

Create strategic plan to attract key new market nationalities into stores

Negotiate strategic partnerships with potential partners

Gather all the weekly reports from all the various branches

Combine and compile an integrated weekly report

Meet with the relevant directors to provide feedback on the reports

Participate and contribute in any additional required meetings

To resolve general problems in the branches timeously

To assist with resolving customers queries to ensure excellent customer service

Ensure sufficient staff coverage for the branches

Collect incident reports

Perform onboarding for new staff members and monitor their performance during their probation period

Ensure Occupational Health & Safety requirements are met in all branches

To conduct performance management functions to ensure effective running of the branches

Monitor individual team members performance and targets

Closely monitor KPIs for staff not meeting their targets and take remedial action

Prepare for and hold monthly KPI meeting with each direct report

Coach and mentor staff when required

Ensure all staff attend required training courses
