Responsible for establishing and building a multi-disciplinary support team and associated processes to maintain and enhance the BI platform and services which include BI applications in production.

General Administrative Responsibilities
Ensure that Service Catalogues andSLAs / OLAs are created and maintained.
Negotiate and establish SLA / OLA contract details with Group partners and ensure that service levels are monitored and maintained in accordance to service definitions.
Manage on-site and off-site sub-contractors in diverse environments.
Ensure financial management of team expenditure.
Ensure project methodology standards are maintained.
Negotiate, plan and manage team involvement in Group projects and other related activities.
Manage user expectations and relationships.
Compile and document an operational roadmap for Group IT BI Services.
Chair operational working group forums as part of the Group BI strategy.
Day to day responsibilities
Ensure operation uptimeSLAs are achieved.
Manage incidents and requests.
Ensure change management control is enforced.
Attend the necessary operational and change forums.
Engage with Group IT and Project stakeholders to ensure alignment in terms of business requirements and supply of services.
Design and implement processes that will support Group IT BI functions / services; SDLC, license management framework etc.
Ensure development standards are followed by teams across technology components namely; SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, Teradata, Attunity, Cloudera, Informatica.
Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission. Specifically support better management reporting, information flow and management of business process and organizational planning.
Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of support services (HR, IT and Finance) through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls.
MaintainSLAagreements with Group IT service channels
Ensure regular reporting of platform or application issues and changes
Communicate with business stakeholders regarding change control windows and potential down time.
Recommend environment changes to be in line with Best Practice.
Manage costs in line with budgetary constraints.
Ensure standard operating procedures are in place.
Ensure environmental documentation and flow diagrams are up to date.
Project manage new platform projects together with Group IT service channels.
Ensure operational thought leadership in technical forums.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems & Technology.
Appropriate Management training would be beneficial.
5 -10 years Data Management experience
2 - 5 years IT Management experience beneficial
1+ years Financial Services industry experience beneficial.
SAP experience will be beneficial.
