A leading and well-established food and beverage manufacturing company requires the above to manage the costing process for the Johannesburg plant, whilst analysing manufacturing variances and other cost elements, preparing and updating costing information for value chains, and providing insights to improve gross profit margins.
Minimum requirements for the role :
CIMA qualification is preferred but not essential. Will consider someone who is in the process of completing their CIMA.
Previous commercial experience within an FMCG environment, particularly in Cost Accounting, is essential.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Providing strategic guidance, management and coaching to the Cost Accountant in East London.
Ensuring alignment and standardisation of manufacturing and cost management processes between all Johannesburg manufacturing units.
Checking and reconciling manufacturing variances and yields.
Reconciling relevant cost of sales GL accounts in Evolution.
Preparing detailed cost reports for manufacturing, identifying key overspends and variances and identifying opportunities of improvements.
Reviewing and recalculating overhead recovery rate on a quarterly basis and determining impact on existing stock.
Loading Bill of Material information into Xperdyte and ensuring that BOM is ready for production use.
Maintaining recipes and BOMs accurately to minimise manufacturing variances in all Johannesburg manufacturing operations.
Reviewing and recalculating raw material, finished goods and other base costs and determining the impact on business by applying changes.
