The successful candidate will report directly to the Mine Manager.Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills : Have at least a grade 12 certificate,Mining candidates must at least have a blasting certificate, Engineering candidates must at least have a registered trade,Computer literate in Microsoft and SharePoint type programmes,Good communication skills in English, and at least one of the other official Minimum Requirements.
Understanding of behaviour based safety principles The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to : Be responsible for carrying out the duties as prescribed in the Act, Be responsible for informing management regarding any unsafe acts & conditions observed in the workings, Planning, facilitating and monitoring the risk management and critical control processes, incident / accident investigations and continuous risk management processes, Monitoring the effectiveness of the campaigns, codes of practice and proactive measures which have been put in place to support the Business Management System, Facilitating and monitoring the corrective action process and giving feedback to management, Maintaining systems to ensure certification in ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and ISO 45000 : 2015, Understanding of project cycles, from tender phase to site completion.
