FM / 230 / 1020) The Project Management office manages all capital projects being executed at Stellenbosch University.
The Programme Manager will be responsible for managing, planning and executing projects in order to deliver infrastructure for the University within the context of SU s strategic focus areas.

B-degree / NHDip / NDip in a construction environment; Registered as a Professional Construction Project Manager with SACPCMP;
Eight to ten years' extensive experience in programme management in the construction environment or engineering fields; Knowledge and experience of how projects are managed in terms of project management methodology;
Knowledge of project management principles, organisational policies and procedures; Extensive knowledge of tender procedures, and reporting within the procurement framework and policies;
Management experience of financial systems, reporting and budget systems; Extensive knowledge and experience of the construction and occupational health and safety regulations to ensure that project risks are managed at all times;
A high-level knowledge of numeracy, literacy, good written and verbal communication skills and of generating high quality reports;
An advance knowledge of MS Tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project; Experience in document management and electronic filing;
Excellent planning, organisational, negotiation and time management skills; An eye for detail and a passion for project management and project delivery;
Conflict management skills and the ability to manage conflict on an individual and team level. Recommendation : Client and service orientated with the ability to deal with a wide range of personalities.
