This commercially driven role will be accountable for supporting the development of the business Innovation and Business Development strategies.

This role will be responsible for stimulating an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship and supporting the commercial activities of the business to achieve targeted growth and expansion objectives through new business products and development.

Success will primarily be achieved through development and delivery of an innovation pipeline of compelling, market validated and commercially ready products, solutions, services, and new business opportunities, in addition to assisting the rolling out of any planned new products and solutions that the Group undertake.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Working in close collaboration with Sales team; strategic optimization of the product portfolio to ensure sustainable sales, market share and revenue / contribution growth.

Supporting the channel strategy and commercialization of the companies pre-engineered buildings within South Africa in collaboration with the Business Head to achieve aggressive market penetrationDevelop and maintain a rolling Two year Innovation and new Business Development Pipeline which includes commercial validation for products, solutions, and services.

Drive concept and development, including consumer and go to market research, help guide decision making on any operational impacts and capital requirements and ensure commercial feasibility for opportunities with close collaboration and feedback from key stakeholders.

Work with the Sales team to conduct competitive and consumer deep dives to understand key market trends and develop consumer foresight and implications for future opportunities.

Be a key business partner, seeking input and feedback from marketing and sales teams to ensure relevant and executional effectiveness.

Monitor and measure effectiveness of initiatives post implementation and regular reporting of pipeline progress to plan.Determine the most appropriate route / s for commercialisation in progressing the implementation of identified opportunities.

Develop a broad network of contacts / relationships across the industry.Help to engender a culture of innovation awareness within the business.

With legal support develop licences and other appropriate agreements to commercialise opportunities.Ensure that personal ways of working are consistent with the values and culture of the Group.

Salary - R60 - R80 kpm
