Pharmaceutical concern based in East Rand has an opportunity for an experienced Cost Accountant with a Tertiary qualification and SAP.
Previous experience in Pharma or FMCG highly advantageous.The role would suit a dynamic and detailed orientated individual who will provide accurate, relevant and reliable information to support and assist in Operations Management’s decision making.

As a Cost Accountant, you are required to : - Be responsible for financial cost and variance / trends analyses and reporting- Execute and assist with the control of monthly and annual costing process including the maintenance of Material Master for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and cost & profit centers- Ensure accurate and timely standard costing updates and reports- Handle inventory accounting, reporting and reconciliations ageing, provisions, stock takes- Assist operational management with their budget and forecasting processes- Review and assist with cost saving figures and projects- Analyse reports and tools that identify cost exceptions and working with cross-function teams to predict and improve costings- Ensure month-end closing activities and ensuring financial accounting related to revenue and costing is completed in a timely and accurate manner- Apply knowledge of production processes to develop and maintain an accurate costing model to meet deliverables- Ensure internal and external audit complianceRequired experience and qualifications : - A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably within the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry- SAP Costing, S / 4HANA an added advantage- Excellent understanding and ability with ERP systems- A BCom Degree or a relevant tertiary qualification specialising in Finance- Postgraduate / Honours Degree would be an added advantage
