Senior Admin Officer : Media, Speech Writing and Research Office of the Executive MayorIntroductionMidvaal Local Municipality, invites applications for the below mentioned position : DescriptionMonitor Midvaal Local Municipality's media coverage and reporting Maintain social media sites and eventsMonitor media reports and social media sites about Midvaal or Mayoral events and prepare appropriate responsesLiaise with media and build and maintain relations with the mediaTake official photos as and when requested for all Midvaal and Mayoral eventsAdvise the Executive Mayor on potential media exposure and / or opportunitiesArrange interviews with the media for the Executive MayorCoordinate media events in conjunction with PR and Marketing Design posters, invitations and programs for Mayoral EventsDraft speeches for the Executive MayorPrepare the Executive Mayor for interviewsUndertake extensive research for the Mayor's OfficeUpdate and maintain political office databaseDraft talking points, press releases, briefing notes, opinion editorials, responses, and inputs for mediaDraft presentations and reportsReport during events in real time on social media platformsAssist in the writing up of the annual report, internal / external publications, IDP and website communicationPerform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested and required by management (supervisor) from time to time.
