Description

A Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project teams managed by the staff of the WATER Department that provides administrative support to project managers and assists in providing weekly summaries on the progress of each project from a time and cost perspective.

Experience and Skills

The candidate must have :

A relevant degree or diploma.

Minimum of 10 years experience in the office administration field.

Relevant experience in the consulting environment.

Experience in managing a team of support staff.

Work independently with minimum supervision.

Proven advanced MS Office knowledge (PowerPoint, Excel and Word).

Experience with ISO 9001 Quality System compliance and auditing.

Excellent organisational skills, tact, diplomacy, and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in sensitive matters and display excellent judgment.

Be able to work in a team environment.

Other skills that would be an advantage :

Project Management / administration skills

Knowledge of Ariba / M2North / SAP / PROMAN.

A Management / administrative Diploma.

Understanding project finances.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Support the SBU in the leadership and supervision of business services administrative duties, including compilation and monitoring of revenue, expenditures, accounts payable, accounts receivable and budgeting for the WATER Department.

The primary role of the incumbent is to provide administrative support by providing monthly reporting of departmental performance, to the Department Managers.

Maintaining departmental financial records and systems.

Coordinating department meeting schedules, and management of systems, facilitating meeting logistics, taking minutes and coordinating communications.

Facilitates the coordination of :

The project administrators / coordinators / support team.

Cross-discipline project managers.

The typing and formatting of documentation (project and department related) to the quality standards set by SRK.

Act as the Departmental Quality (ISO9001) Administrator.

Attend the company Quality Administrator monthly meetings and feedback on relevant information to the department.

Manage the quality control of the SBU projects to comply with SRKs quality management system (ISO 9001).

Carry out regular and scheduled quality audits on activities performed by the departmental team.

Assist with training of staff in the department in aspects relating to quality.

Prepare, administer and file project correspondence and records according to ISO 9001 standards.
