A global crop protection manufacturing company is seeking the above to be responsible for developing strong relationships by understanding the customer’s technical needs and challenges as well as how this influences and impacts the customers’ business.

Minimum requirements for the role :

  • A Tertiary degree plus Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition or any related Agricultural discipline is essential.
  • Previous animal feed industry experience within Nigeria / Kenya is essential.
  • A good knowledge of the Nigeria / Kenya poultry industry is essential.
  • French proficiency would be advantageous.
  • Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Sound ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Providing technical support to distributors and customers to gain and sustain sales.
  • Effectively managing and disseminating product research, application, data and information to distributors and customers.
  • Managing trials and technology tests with contracted research institutes as well as key customers, to demonstrate the quality and the efficacy of the products.
  • Providing nutrition advice and recommendations based on product portfolio characteristics.
  • Providing training to distributors to develop and sustain their value selling capability.
  • Proactively participating in the technical and marketing events in the sub-region.
  • Effectively and proactively communicating with distributors and customers.
  • Providing relevant information to incorporate in product / service development.
  • Working with various departments in resolving product-related customer complaints.
  • Acting as train the trainer as well as first line of contact for any product related questions or queries.
  • Meeting the respective sales targets for the territory by enabling the sales team to provide value selling to customers.
  • Supporting product regulatory compliance for the territory and assisting in technical matters related to product registration.
  • Regular reporting to sales on technical service and market development programs, market opportunities and competitive intelligence.
  • Actively participating in applicable international conferences, generating external and internal publication, presentations and technical literature related to the areas of expertise.
