We are currently looking for a Data Analytics and Insight Analyst in Smyrna, TN .

Job Summary

Directly interfaces with business functions sharing actionable insights based upon multiple supply chain data sources to inform and assist decision makers on the most expedient ways to improve and optimize performance in cost, quality, and delivery.

The Nissan SCM Systems & Strategy team is responsible for researching and implementing leading-edge solutions, ideas and technologies across Nissan North America’s manufacturing supply chain.

The Systems & Strategy team focuses on four main pillars : Systems, Analytics, Process and People. The work in these areas is to ensure stability and efficiency across the supply chain and Nissan’s manufacturing facilities.

This candidate will work closely with Nissan Digital (IS / IT) on the set up our Snowflake Data pipeline and overall SCM data strategy.

The candidate will also help to drive advanced analytics by provide recommendations and guidance on ways to translate data into actionable information and insights in order to make better business decisions for Nissan Supply Chain.

Consults regularly with business functions to discuss data and analytic needs and advise functions on optimal use of available data, analysis, reports, and models to support those needs.

Cultivate deep understanding of SCM key performance indicators drivers and investigate data and analytics solutions necessary to achieve desired business outcomes.

Develop and distribute advanced visualizations, analysis, diagnostics, and insights for SCM business stakeholders in order to improve operation performance and support better decisions making

Ensure the analytical tools comprised of comprehensive data is continually meeting the needs of the business and that routine reports and visualizations are streamlined to improve and minimize duplication of effort for analysts and decision makers.

Coordinate efforts with other departments as needed to determine proper strategy to satisfactorily meet current needs.

Data Engineering skills : assists in validating quality and accuracy of raw data that feeding analytics tools / apps.

Coordinates with staff, stakeholders, outside vendors and internal IS department to ensure accurate and effective analysis.

Identifies information gaps and works with related departments to meet current analytical needs.

Communicates with Nissan Digital Team to ensure alignment and delivery of SCM projects requirements, while leveraging options from the Nissan Digital Tool Stack that allow for flexibility to accommodate complex data sources and processes Executes the roadmap and coordinates with Nissan Digital on the medium and long term data strategy plans.

Partners with SCM Business Stakeholders and Nissan Digital to implement solutions for data quality validation, developing a world-class reporting and analytics culture.

Minimum Qualifications

The following statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.

Job Knowledge and Skill :

In-depth and proven knowledge of Supply Chain Management and related data and its sources. Ability to properly integrate multiple sources of information while maintaining data integrity and usefulness.

Direct experience analyzing data for trends, insights, and development of compelling stories with data.

Demonstrated project management skills, including managing multiple projects across various work functions, tracking to milestones and deliverables.

A proven self-started and ability to multitask in both an individual and group setting.

Relationship and Communications Skills

Ability to communicate successfully cross-functionally at all levels to understand their needs and match it to the complex set of data that it may require to be compiled and analyzed.

The ability to explain complex analysis in such a way that it can be used effectively by decision makers. Ability to communicate with highly technical individuals about the desires, insights and observations of the business and to ensure development and deployment of appropriate solutions.

Education and Experience :

A bachelor’s degree in quantitative or business related field is required. BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics preferred.

A responsibility in multiple areas of sales and marketing function within a large scale corporate organization. Automotive and / or Supply Chain experience is preferred.

Computer Skills :

Advanced knowledge of database software, spreadsheets, and other applications used to create specialized reports and applications of a highly technical nature.

Tableau Visualization experience a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python and R coding, VBA, scripting, or ETL is preferred.

Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and / or Hadoop is preferred. Experience with AWS tools preferred
