Manage payroll for contractors in Africa
Accurate and timely preparation and capturing of monthly payroll new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, overtime, commission, tax changes, deductions, etc.
Monthly EMP201’s
EMP501 Submission
Prepare and submit monthly SARS returns
Preparation for Mid and Year-End Tax Submission.
Apply for tax directives.
Processing Workers Compensation
Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements relating to payroll
Provide advice and make recommendations to ensure payroll best practices and effective use of the payroll system
Must be up to date with all the latest payroll and tax legislation.
Processing Journals
Prepare payroll reports as requested
Administration of all reimbursement and allowances.
Preparation of month-end reports, reconciliations, and payments.
Assisting staff with payroll queries.
Ensure the maintenance of the payroll system and leave administration system.
Process Medical Aid and Group Risk Contributions
Reconciling of company benefits (medical aid, and group risk).
Coordinate annual benefit changes
Provides staff copies of payslips, IRP5’s, service letters, UIF documents, Maternity Documents, etc. as required.
Maintaining and updating employee data in the payroll system.
Assist with audits as and when necessary
Laisse directly with stakeholders (CFO and CEO level), SARS, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements :
3 -5 year’s payroll experience in a fast-paced environment
Relevant payroll qualification
Matric
Knowledge and understanding of SA tax
Experience working with payroll systems
Self-Starter
Ability to work without supervision
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Initiative and creative problem solving skills
Time Management and deadline driven
High level of confidentiality
