Role Context :

As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be a driving force in their sales team. Your ability to work quickly, honestly, and effectively to build relationships with their consumers will set the bar for their other sales professionals.

Daily tasks will include networking, meeting and facilitating consumer demands, creating innovative solutions to solve consumer concerns and managing the pipeline to achieve sales targets.

Experience and Education :

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field (preferred)
  • 8-10 years of experience in a sales position (Enterprise Software Solutions preferred)
  • Customer service experience highly preferred
  • Competent presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to learn about various products, and display and share this knowledge in a confident manner
  • Possess a passion for finding and selling to new customers
  • Have an understanding of business relationships and how to develop healthy client relations
  • Possess a determination to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Ability to motivate and encourage other salespeople with enthusiasm
  • Retain a track record of success in closing sales and delivering quality product
  • Have a willingness to follow through to see that every customer receives their product and is satisfied with the outcome
  • B2B sales experience an advantage
  • SaaS sales experience an advantage
  • Knowledge of B-BBEE legislation an advantage
  • Responsibilities / Key Deliverables :

    Lead Generation and Meeting Prosects / Maximising the Chance for Success

  • The Senior Sales Executive is required to source his / her own lead sources. In order to attain meetings, the Senior Sales Executive needs to :
  • Study sales volume and industry trends to understand how to best penetrate the market and gain consumer interest
  • Research new business leads and opportunities through networking, client referrals, business directories and any other lead sources
  • Attend networking and related industry events in order to make new contacts and find new leads
  • Research and identify potential clients and build a sales pipeline; o Cold call potential clients and set up meetings with potential leads
  • Consider new ways to reach customers and increase relevance
  • Closing Deals / Winning New Clients :

  • Before and during the initial client meeting, understand the clients needs and challenges and share how the company can help solve their challenges through software and adjacent services and solutions.
  • After the client meeting, create a proposal outlining the solution for the clients needs. Ensure that the proposal is impactful and is sent soon after meeting the client.
  • Email the proposal and pricing to the client and then meet with the client to talk them through the solutions to ensure that the solution is articulated correctly which will likely assist in winning more clients.
  • Ensure that you follow-up with the client once the proposals have been sent and determine if they have any questions, or if they need any additional information.
  • Once the deal is closed, ensure the contract is signed by the client and then handover to the Account Manager. Ensure that you relay a comprehensive and clear brief to the team.
  • General Tasks / Ongoing Tracking and Reporting :

  • Update the CRM pipeline system daily with accurate leads, quote figures, new business opportunities, booked meetings, agreed upon and completed projects.
  • This is crucial as it assists with tracking the revenue forecast.

  • CRM reports will be generated for the manager responsible for sales to review : It is critical to stay up to date with the changes in the BEE landscape and how this impacts clients.
  • This is very important, particularly for when you are selling your product to clients.

  • Number of cold leads you personally prospected and their conversion into meetings
  • Number of meetings
  • Number of proposals / quotes sent out
  • R-value of your sales pipeline
  • Number of new clients attained
  • Action plan for the next month or quarter.
  • It is important to remain updated on any changes to the platform, so that you can communicate the platforms benefits accurately to clients during sales meetings.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced salesmen and assist in trainings regarding effective delivery solutions
  • Encourage teamwork within the sales team and be an example to other sales professionals
