BackgroundWits Health Consortium Pty Limited "WHC" is a wholly owned Company of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg South Africa under its Faculty of Health Sciences.

WHC provides Faculty with a legal framework within which to operate the research and other activities necessary to support its academic objectives.

In addition WHC offers a range of products and services to the Academics conducting these activities in order to assist with the management thereof.

Oversee the development and implementation of financial strategies and activities aligned to grants requirements; improve systems, processes, procedures, policies and control systems and ensure adherence to good governance principlesOversee the development and preparation of activity-

based financial analyses and dashboards that provide useful insights to guide decision-makingOversee cashflow planning and management and ensure availability of funds as neededEnsure there is no co-

mingling of fundsOversee co-ordination and completion of year-end grant auditsBudget management and accurate, timely grants reporting-

Oversee the development, planning, preparation and reviewing of annual budgets for stakeholder approvalOnce approved, review draft contracts for accuracy and completeness, largely to ensure compliance to internal policies and donor regulationsOversee adherence to all contractual specifications and sign off draft contractsOversee adherence to budget and internal controlsResolve escalated problems and irregularitiesOversee cost recovery from projectsOversee and review all grants reports, sign-

Com Honours in AccountingRequired minimum work experienceMinimum 8-10+ years' financial management experience in a donor-
