Requirements A grade 12 certificate plus Appropriate National Diploma or equivalent qualification with the relevant language as a major subject.

  • Proficiency in relevant language. 2 years’ relevant experience. A valid driver’s license. Knowledge and Understanding : Knowledge of all relevant Legislation in language development and promotion;
  • Experience in translating and editing; Knowledge of project management; computer literate; communication (written and verbal) skills.

  • Language policy implementation Skills : Translating and editing test; Formulating and editing; Planning and Organizing; Project management;
  • Communication; Computer literacy; Interpersonal relations; analytical thinking , research report writing. Duties Translate and edit documents from source language to target language.

    Manage all Nguni language services requirements. Provide interpreting services. Participate in the planning of terminology projects.

    Promote multilingualism and literature development. Conduct research and provide professional language advice and support.

    Render administrative functions in relation to language programmes. Render administration to Gauteng Provincial Language Committee.
