A well-established, global logistics company is looking for an Inbound Controller to be based at their head office in Bryanston.
Salary is market related.
Receiving and sending ASNs to LSP
Match ASNs to status report to ensure no shipment is missed.
Download documents from GLP and share with LSPs when required.
Liaise and rectify any document anomalies (eg : Invoice Values, PL Qty, freight query)
Ensure ANF’s are received by agent for sea shipments.
Send delivery instruction to transporters as required.
Ensure Navis is updated transporters to collect from port.
Communicate applicable empty turn in date to the transporters.
Ensure containers are collected timeously from port.
Ensure Customs clearance is processed timeously.
Complete GR’s on the system for all delivered containers.
Receive and update all direct allocations on Status Report
Check correctness of container numbers.
Ensure transporters collect and deliver containers at the specified booking time.
Communicate with SSA team regularly for updates.
Send direct tracking updates.
Update and distribute status report.
Monitoring all KPI’s and provide countermeasure for failures.
Monitor vessel schedule and ensure reasons are provided for any in transit delays.
Ensure POD’s are received within agreed times from the delivery for direct deliveries.
Ensure zero demurrage, detention and storage are incurred.
Verify standing time charges as applicable.
Ensure weekly statements and schedules are received timeously.
Verify all inbound charges and supporting invoices for sea and airfreight.
Process gen-tariff for verified charges.
Ensure correct tariffs are captured.
Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport or similar
Minimum 1 year experience in a logistics outbound operational role
Sound knowledge of Imports / Customs procedures
Must have knowledge of all modes of transport
