We are inviting applications for the role of FLM, HRO Payroll Management trainee - English On Site Johannesburg ZA - Office

In this role, you will be leading important projects within Global Payroll team, Compensation Benefits team and implementing / maintaining compensation policies and procedures with the teams.

You will partner with payroll to ensure we are complaint with all the local legislation and all employees will get paid accurately / timely.


  • Responsible for partnering with the Global Payroll engagement teams to drive Payroll delivery initiatives.
  • Strategic thinking and leadership experience with an emphasis on relationship management and communication at all levels within an organization.
  • Facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to management requests.

  • Review delivery of payroll processing service, ensuring the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities (including Build to Gross and Gross to Net, Pay processing, Post payroll validation, T&A management and reporting) are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation.
  • Understand the compliance changes in detail and train the team members
  • Manage payroll system set-up including data migration and transition (on-boarding)
  • Build and manage multi-disciplinary functions (process & technology) that can successfully operationalize the end to end engagement lifecycle of the Finance and Accounting operations.
  • Strong understanding and proven abilities of executing Global Payroll industry standards and market landscape that will determine the value proposition and competitive advantage for the shared service hub.
  • Actively work with Payroll Leader and internal team members in identifying and implementing the process standardization, simplification and automation opportunities, and act as a mentor / support for the teams.
  • Coach, mentor, train and coordinate the activities of the team
  • Manage the application and monitoring of the Hub’s methodology framework, principles, and delegations
  • Qualifications we seek in you

    Minimum Qualification

  • B. Com / M. Com / CA
  • Preferred Qualification

  • Africa Payroll / HRO experience is required South Africa
  • Project Management knowledge
  • Quality Lean and six sigma knowledge and quality driven person
  • Must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility
  • Ability to handle multifaceted volumes of workloads and to reach targets and deadlines on a timely basis
  • Innovative and always looking for continuous improvement in order to develop succession plan for staff
