A leading multi-national pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for a sales manager to manage their derma-cosmetic portfolio in South Africa.
There are 8 direct reports, the position is based in Johannesburg The Sales & Medical Manager will be responsible for development and direction of the medical strategy of the business unit and the operations of the Sales Team.
The achievement of the sell-in and sell-out objectives through the effective management, direction and development of the Sales Team and its' retail and medical operations.
The position will require a high level of entrepreneurial spirit in order to guide and coach the sales team in finding and capitalizing on operational opportunities to build the brand and consumer awareness.
This position will require collaboration and alignment with other key activities including marketing and key account management in order to ensure the business's success.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operational implementation of the business strategies and plans and the achievement of the sell-in and sell-out objectives of the business and brands.
Manage and direct the sales team in achieving set qualitative and quantitative goals in both the retail and medical operations.
Development and oversight of the medical strategy and direction of medical activity Develop and leverage relationships with retailer operations management including Cosmetic Managers, Store Managers and Regional Managers in the interest of identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow the business.
Management of regional sales agents and outsourced sales functions in order to maximise the ROI and achieve sales objectives.
Responsible for the overall implementation and maintenance of the brand's retail and medical representation in the market.
Operational Management and coordination of retailer training and launch events. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS The position is based on Johannesburg but will be required to travel locally and regionally approximately 70% of the time Direct interaction and alignment with the marketing manager and Key Account Manager.
Direct management of the Sales Team Direct management of outsourced regional sales functions The position requires daily interaction with HCP, pharmacists, clinic sisters, consultants, cosmetic managers, store managers, regional managers.
