Key responsibilities will include :

  • Plant operational management experience
  • Streamline and optimise supporting business systems
  • Optimise plant capacity, inventory and product flow
  • Improve response and flexibility
  • Responsible for operational design (job design and work organisation)
  • Planning and control of the operations process
  • Capacity planning and control
  • Inventory and purchasing planning and control
  • Quality planning and control
  • Failure prevention and recovery
  • Manage availability and efficiency of each process
  • Experience in :
  • Managing budgets
  • Contract Management
  • ISO standards
  • Setting and managing key performance indicators
  • IR / HR matters
  • The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements :

  • BEng / BTech in Metallurgy / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering
  • MDP / post graduate management qualification (advantageous)
  • MS Office, knowledge of all relevant plant systems (PeopleSoft, Supervisory system and Aspen)
  • 8 years experience
  • 5 years experience in people leadership and management role
  • Excellent negotiation and report writing skills with ability to manage relations with internal and external suppliers
