Minimum requirements for the role :
Must have minimum a BSc. Degree in Agriculture (or related), as well as an AVCASA certification
Strong technical skills in agronomy, crop protection and nutrition are essential
Must have 3-8 years experience in the crop protection industry
Must have good communication skills and be able to influence and train people
Good technical knowledge of crop protection products, uses and actives as well as crops (especially row crops) is essential
General knowledge of the market and regulatory processes is required
Financial acumen with ability to negotiate product access and distribution licenses is essential
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Delivering budget targets for the range.
Ensuring up to date knowledge of the markets and submarkets.
Contributing to market intelligence projects, including market and pricing surveys.
Understanding all technical aspects and positioning of the different products in the spray program.
Contributing to Product / Market opportunity assessment and business case definition.
Providing inputs in protocol determination for development.
Conducting range GAP analysis and providing guidance to R&D budgets.
Defining portfolio, crop spray program and product strategies, including the 4 Ps (Product, Place (distribution), Price, Promotion).
Introducing new products through new product launches and promotional programs.
Driving the procurement process for product launches.
Providing value proposition and competition benchmark analysis for price decisions.
Contributing to marketing assumptions for yearly budget for the range.
Managing promotional and advertorials campaigns and functions for current products and portfolios.
Providing inputs in protocol determination in cooperation with regulatory requirements.
Determining and formulating go-to-market strategies and plans for products and programs to be launched.
Participating in business support initiatives to achieve budget targets, including training meetings, launch meetings, marketing campaigns, and technical and marketing support for sales team.
Developing training programs and training sales teams, distributors and agents for the positioning and value proposition of the range.
Contributing to key account approach development.
Managing key third party suppliers.
Coordinating demonstration trials for business development and product launches.
Recommending continuous improvement of current labels and packaging.
Identifying new uses for current products.
Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
