Reference : PS008728-CH-1 A well-established global chemical distribution company requires the above to expand and develop the company-

s market presence by creating and implementing an effective Sales strategy as well as building strong relationships with clients and strategic key suppliers.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesMinimum requirements for the role : Previous Key Account Management experience calling on the Polymer and Plastics or Rubber or related industries selling chemical raw materials is preferred but not essential.

Tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential. Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.

SAP knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential. A valid driver-s licence is essential. The successful candidate must be able to travel locally and internationally when required to do so.

Must be able to work overtime as required. The successful candidate will be responsible for : Managing key suppliers as well as increasing exclusive supplier business.

Providing technical support for the Sales team and their customers. Assisting in the development of supplier products within South Africa and neighboring countries.

Improving the organisation-s position within the market. Maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions and competitors.

Identifying new business opportunities. Participating in setting pricing solutions. Attending and participating in industry events.

Developing key customer relationships. Providing training on all New Product Development products from suppliers on a regular basis.

Identifying opportunities for campaigns, fairs, services and distribution channels that will increase sales. Adhering to internal Health and Safety procedures and report any incidents to the Health and Safety Representative or Site Officer.

Reporting both internally and to principles. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
