The Role :
We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer for a 12-month fixed term contract with our client in the East of Johannesburg.
We are looking for experience with the following :
Proficient in MS Office Applications
SAP knowledge is an advantage
Automotive Industry is an advantage
Minimum educational level : Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
NQF level 6 in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Logistics
The Principal Engineer will the responsible for the following d uties and responsibilities :
Design and Development of Internal Planning functions
Conveyance design
Trolley / Packaging design
Rack design and configuration
Layouts
Transport planning Cost Management
Team Management
Development of SOP
Testing of Processes
Planning and execution of Continuous Improvement projects
Plant layout design experience
Skills and Experience :

Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills
Ability to work in a team environment
A proactive, flexible, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines with minimum supervision
