Our top candidate will lead our Cape Town, South Africa Software Development (Kumo South) teams focused on Health Systems.
These dynamic teams are comprised of Software Development Engineers and Development Managers. This position will interact with all AWS services and leadership roles across the company.

Beyond the typical software development management skill set, we’re seeking someone that understands Distributed Computing, Big Data, Machine Learning and Web Development to deliver our required solutions.
The Health systems provide personalized experience to our customers and visibility into the health of the AWS Services across the globe.
Customers include very large Enterprises (e.g. NASDAQ, Adobe, Kellogg's, Unilever); Public Sector (e.g. NASA JPL, Stanford) as well as fast growing businesses and internet companies (e.g. Netflix, Airbnb).
The AWS Support organization is global with team members in 20 locations around the world. The organization is a self-standing business with revenue and P&L responsibility.
The leader of AWS Support Health Systems will own the AWS Health platform. This platform ingests event level data across the AWS control plane and has global visibility to the health of all AWS services.
Using this information this team is responsible for determining the most customer centric ways to communicate health and any appropriate recommendations for remediation.
