We are looking for a dynamic, innovative operational person to join the Logistics Department at Amaro Foods Epping. PURPOSE To ensure goods are distributed / transported on time, to designated locations according to route schedule.
KEY PERFORMANCE OUTPUTS Ensure communication is built effectively. Maintaining cleanliness and order in office and area.
Conduct daily vehicle inspection and report provide an accurate report. Conduct daily vehicle checks and provide an accurate report (oil, water, body parts of vehicle).
Ensure that the truck is cleaned daily before loading. Ensure that the hold bar is secured, in acceptable condition and that defects are timeously reported to team members and superiors.
Ensure breakdown reports are completed accurately and timeously. Ensure the daily route plan is adhered to thoroughly. Ensure lugs and pallets are picked up to adhere to daily targets.
Ensure cold chain is maintained. Ensure proper handling of goods to avoid damages. Ensure spot checks are conducted on quality and escalation of food safety concerns.
Ensure order number on delivery note matches PO print. Ensure stock is loaded (only with proper documentation). Ensure load is accurate against the delivery note (i.
e. quantity, best before, product type), and the delivery note is signed and accountability for the stock on Vehicle is accepted.

Ensure that paperwork is returned from the distribution centre and units to supervisors. TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Code 10 Driver’s license and PDP.
Good reading and writing skills. Good communication skills. Grade 12 / NQF 4 level qualification (higher level is advantageous).
No traffic violations. Clean driving record. Previous experience in driving and dealing with distribution centre’s is advantageous.
