A Cloud Systems Administrator is responsible for working in a mixed Windows and Unix software environment. The responsibility of the individual is to manage the instances of the cloud infrastructure services and the multiple cloud servers.
The professional also leads, oversees and maintains, multiuser computing environment as per the requirements of the organization.
The cloud systems administrator will have to develop, configure, implement and manage the systems that comprise the underlying cloud platform.
Install and Troubleshoot
Install, configure and troubleshoot Linux VM''s in the public and private cloud
Implement and Integrate
Monitors and analyses the capabilities and performance of the systems.
Compare, evaluate, and implement new technologies, and integrate systems into the computing environment.
Security and Strategies
Provide all the necessary assistance to the cloud servers, including security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting.
Maintain system security strategies, policies, and procedures.
Relevant experience as a systems administrator in a systems operations role
Ability to work with virtualization technology
Experience in Linux (RHEL and SUSE)
Experience in monitoring and auditing systems
Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP / IP, and firewalls)
Ability to translate architectural requirements
Ability to deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems
Know how to implement and control the flow of data, to and from a service provider
Capability to select the appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements
Ability to estimate usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms
Capability to migrate on-premises workload to service providers
Cloud certifications in AWS and Azure
