    Front Desk Receptionist (Durban)

    Capita SA is seeking a motivated Customer-Centric individual who is ready to provide leadership through example by living Capita’s culture and values.

    As a member of the facilities team, the receptionist will manage all the tasks related to the facilities and reception process

    Key Performance Areas

    Key Responsibilities :

    Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments

    Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.

    File and maintain records.

    Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.

    Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.

    Provide information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.

    Keep a current record of staff members' whereabouts and availability.

    Take orders for merchandise or materials and send them to the proper departments to be filled.

    Perform duties, such as taking care of plants or straightening magazines to maintain lobby or reception area.

    Dealing with external suppliers as well as internal staff

    Administering of access control systems

    Understanding of Health and safety

    General administrative functions within the Facilities department

    Facilities Helpdesk management Supporting the facilities team in assigning facilities tasks, keeping track of tasks, communication and feedback to users.

    Office Stationery orders and stock controls

    Matric (Completed)

    Driver license preferred but not essential

    Minimum Experience :

    2 - 3 years reception and / or administration experience

    Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook / Email)
