Job Description

Research of Reports, Bank Code, Trade Refs, Data Capturing, QA and day to day admin.

Meeting monthly and daily targets as communicated in the department.

Resolving departmental and internal and external client queries.

Maintain the departmental SLA’s with internal and external clients.

Be accountable in the execution of your duties.

Effectively use all of the available system resources.

Leading the research team and ensuring that :

All reports are delivered within SLA (these will be negotiated per customer)

All reports are of an acceptable quality and the client is happy with that quality

There is constant communication between the reporters and the clients if there are going to

be delays

Making sure there is a good working relationship between the Cape Town and Johannesburg

reporting teams to ensure that there is an even distribution of work that needs to be done :

The quality of reports between the 2 teams should be the same

The delivery time between the 2 teams should be the same

The training given to the 2 teams should be the same

Meeting monthly targets as communicated in the department.

Leading, mentoring, training and growing yourself and your staff.

Performing proper quality assessments on the investigative and customised commercial reports

and using these to drive the individual training needs of the reporters

Using the quality assessments to identify any potential data issues in the commercial space and

ensuring these are logged and dealt with at a company level rather than at an individual record


Ensuring that clients receive a weekly report that lets them know what is happening to the reports

they have requested :

This is negotiated with individual clients but should contain, who asked for the report, when

was it asked for, which reporter is busy with the report or has completed it, if there were

problems what were they, did clients get a preliminary report etc.

Ensuring management receive adequate reporting to let them know how the reporting team is

functioning, these reports must be negotiated with management around timelines (when) and

content of the reports

Resolving departmental and internal and external client queries.

Coordinating job rotation and cross-training.

Hold daily stand-ups with staff and correlate with the Commercial Team.

Have one-on-one meetings with your staff.

Effectively use all of the available system resources.

Maintain good communication channels with internal staff, clients and external clients.

Understand and resolve client queries (Email, Telephone and in person).

Speed and accuracy completing activities on the Commercial Admin system.

Be on time and prepared for meetings.

Ensure that you provide early enough feedback to issues experienced.

National Certificate (Grade 12)

Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office.

Two years’ experience in Commercial Reporting is beneficial.

Previous leadership experience.

Understanding of credit bureau products and services pertaining to Commercial is beneficial.
