Exciting opportunity exists within the Liquor Industry - this is a role for a Fully Vaccinated individual with a Finance or Accounting Degree and 10 years of diversified Finance Experience in FMCG / Liquor Industry.

This role will be filled in line with my clients EE plan and preference will be given to African individuals who meet the criteria.

PURPOSE & SCOPE OF ROLE :

  • Build a highly capable and efficient operating finance team in the market to support both the objectives of the function as well as meet the requirements of the business
  • Provide functional support to ensure that the business can deliver against its commercial and financial commitments as well as proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support the EMEA Senior Finance director in delivering a high calibre finance function that can consistently meet the group’s requirements in a reliable and efficient manner
  • EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Degree (Accounting / Finance or Business)
  • Post Graduate Degree would be advantageous
  • 10+ years of diversified finance experience, preferably including experience within a multinational consumer products business
  • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Finance Leadership provide strong financial leadership to the business
  • Financial Control maintain an effective and robust system of internal controls
  • Stewardship & Compliance ensure the business meets all relevant requirements for financial and related filings
  • Team Leadership develop a strong Finance team and help individuals within the team develop their capabilities
  • Decision Support provide high-quality reporting and analysis to help the business make effective decisions
  • Treasury maintain appropriate financing arrangements which support the objectives of the business
  • Systems and Processes operate effective and efficient financial processes
  • Reporting structure responsible and accountable for the following functions
  • KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES :

  • Able to work effectively in a matrix management structure
  • Commercially astute and able to contribute to tangible commercial outcomes
  • Results / outcome orientated management style
  • Hands-on management style must enjoy working at an operational level and driving the right outcomes
  • Strong written and oral communication skills commensurate with the level of the position
  • Ability to work effectively cross culturally by developing formal and informal networks
  • Self-starter and someone who can identify opportunities / the need for change and take the lead in taking appropriate action
